Years ago during a trip to the Amalfi Coast, I was blown away by an artist selling ceramics. They were beautiful. I wanted to do a blog post with photos of these colorful beauties but stopped when I saw a sign indicating “no photos allowed.” Our tour guide informed us that many years ago, people from other countries would take photos and copy them – replicating the ceramics and then sell them as “Italian- Made in Italy.”
We are all aware our world is full of counterfeit products. Whether it be ceramics, Venetian masks, pocketbooks, or clothing. It’s extremely prevalent throughout the world and as consumers, we need to be educated.

The Lake Como area is known for its silk production. In the city of Bergamo, you’ll find skilled ironworkers crafting intricate gates, balconies, and decorative elements.
Veneto: Venice is synonymous with glassmaking. The Murano island has been the heart of glass production for centuries, where skilled handcrafters transform molten glass into dazzling sculptures, chandeliers, and delicate jewelry.
