Northern Italy consists of eight separate regions. From the mountains and lakes to the lagoons of Venice and over to the Italian Rivera. They are Aosta Valley, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, Liguria, Lombardy, Piedmont, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Veneto.
