We left Phoenix, Arizona on July 31st (technically the plane was late so it left August 1st) and headed to New York for our layover stop on our way to Milan, Italy. Our stop in NY was so wonderful because we got to see our dear friends and spend some quality time with them.
But our first stop on the way to their home was White Castle. For Gary and I it’s a must each and every time we go to NY. It is something about that 4″ little square hamburger that is a classic to many from the East Coast.
From the Queens stop for White Castle we headed out to the “Island” which for us New Yorkers means Long Island. Gary is originally from Queens and I am from North Massapequa, NY, “Long Island.”
I love my friend, Sue’s backyard. She has an amazing garden and pond. She actually feeds some of her fish by hand!
Thank you Sue and Steve for everything. It’s so wonderful when we get to reconnect and see how your children have grown!!
And now…. off to Parma by way of Milan!
